Moving to Ruidoso and building Brunell's Inc in 1946 (top left photo), Herbert H Brunell Sr. and his wife Nellie Brunell could not have imagined that 64 Years and two generations later
that their dream would still be living. Herbert H Brunell Jr took over operations of the Ruidoso
Store in the early 1960's and managed the store until 1989. Bert Brunell, and his wife Dixie then began to learn the business. Herb fully retired in 1994. Bert & Dixie co-managed Brunell's for 12 years. Dixie has since left the businees to pursue a nursing career, leaving Bert, the third generation of Brunell's Inc holding the bag. Although a large departure from 1946, Brunell's is now providing Ruidoso and its visitors with Outdoor/Lifestyle Apparel, Footwear, Light Gear and Home Pieces from Pendleton, Woolrich and others to enhance your Ruidoso experience.
